Pele

For this project, I created a sculpture of the goddess Pele, designed specifically for the Kook Arch Trail. Inspired by the powerful presence of Pele in Hawaiian mythology, the piece embodies the raw energy of creation and destruction, mirroring the volcanic forces that shape the islands. The location was chosen to enhance the connection between the artwork and the natural landscape, allowing the sculpture to feel like an extension of its surroundings. Through form, texture, and material choice, I aimed to capture the strength, movement, and spirit of Pele in a way that resonates with the environment.
